I know that this topic has been on here at some point over the last 6 years, but I was just wondering how a lot of new people that have come to the site heard about it????

I read an article about it in Entertainment Weekly several years ago. I have obviously been hooked since. What about you all? Did you do a search, did you read about it somewhere, was it a link from another website??

Also what is your favorite thing about the site?????

By googling 'The Karate Kid' and finding the rewind Karate Kid site. It was only after I registered for the messageboard through there, that I became aware of the main fast rewind site. I still enter this forum via The Karate Kid site tho [Smile] [Karate Kid]

I don't remember what movie I was searching for when I showed up here but it was at the beginning of 2006. I've been a fan of the site ever since. I found it through a google search. I love the film reviews and the forum. I love being part of and/or reading conversations about 80s movies.

Posted by NowhereGirl (Member # 465) on :

yes muffy, i own it!
i watched it as a kid once and remembered the title, so i went looking it up and ordered it. it's definitely different from watching when you're a kid haha, but it's a cute, little intersting story! celine dion does the theme song for it, total 80s stuff!

i think you might enjoy it, just don't pay a load of $$ for it. [Smile]

Yup, I bought The Legend of Billy Jean... It was a VHS transfer to DVD, but, for $11.99 who cares. I've heard other DVDs are pretty good as well...

I know I was looking for a movie too....probably more than one...I know the one movie I was looking for was "Touched by Love" with Diane Lane. I loved that movie, and could never remember the name of it. I didn't even know that IMDB existed back then either...so when I came here, I was so excited to have all these awesome people to talk to...who seemed to know the name of every 80's movie that I couldn't find titles for. It was awesome. That was in 2003.

It was a Rewind review for "Night of the Creeps" in the Google results that led me here and I joined shortly thereafter.

I have been a Rewinder ever since.

I ended up here because I liked 80's movies. Can't remember if I was looking for anything in particular.

Visited the site a few times. Lurked on the forum for a while. Registered to answer (maybe ask) a question. Here we all are.

I don't think anyone has ever managed to answer this question; what is the name of the song that replaces Timothy B Schmidts 'So Much in Love' on the UK video release of Fast Times? In fact, I think that may be why I'm still here. I'm waiting for an answer.
