wikipedia has a full explanation for the film. I read it. If you are interested in seeing this movie, I would advise you not to read it, so it doesn't spoil the movie for you...

Me and my wife went to see this last night...our 11th anniversary We both really liked it. And...even though it was a date night on our anniversary...ummmm...I love my wife...and....Rosario Dawson

Watched this last night and I can't say enough good things about it. What a job Will Smith and Rosario Dawson did. With that said, it is very sad and depressing and will probably make the average person cry at some point.
