I always wondered what happened to FYC, I mean they owned 1988 with their album the Raw and the Cooked, with Good Thing, Not the Man I used to be and She Drives Me crazy. All I remember was that the singer Roland Gift played a part in the movie Scandal, and that I remember wating forever to the folow up album which I guess never materialized. I think I remember they had a remix album out later, which said to me was a sign of the death knell of the band. So anyone know what happened? Did they just make their money and there was no point in going on or what? I never had the whole story.

I don't know exaclty what happened but over here in the UK I do remember there was stuff in the press about Rowland Gift wanting to try acting, as you say he was in Scandal, and like you said, i think he had made enough money from the FYC to now be able to try acting....
Not made a great success of it though by the look if it.
Don't forget that FYC contained two members of The Beat(aka The English Beat)

That is a very good question! I literally wouldn't have a clue. As far as I remember I think that they only had one album that was popular over in America. It is a shame to because they had a very unique sound that made them stand out.

What an album, I had no idea they would be a where are they now. And CYDI, the Beat played here recently, and the FYC/Beat guys weren't even there, I think it was just Dave Wakeling.
