Vall was awfully scientific and did a fabulous job at choosing the best movies. So why shouldn't we all vote for the best songs? But, unlike movies, there were a massive amount of brilliant songs. So I think that we should have categories. My suggestions are punk, pop, new wave, etc.
We will define the categories within 2 weeks and then we will get started.

Definitely vote for as many as you like. For some obscure reason I have had the Pogues 'Fairytale of New York' stuck in my head all day.

Damn - now I'm actually going to have to do some work! I absolutely love The Church so glad to see that someone nominated 'Unguarded moment'. I think that as we've not had that many posts and that I am quite slack we need to extend the time line - so it will be until I decide to muster the energy to collate the results - how does that sound?
