Caught Part 3 on TV today - believe it or not Ive never seen this one before. I missed the very beginning. Why didnt Miyagi want him to fight?

maybe another way of saying "we didnt want to make a part 3 but the studio wanted it", Daniel doesnt even have to fight in the tournament, he goes straight to the final

Im surprised Psat Morita did the next one with Hilary Swank! (That was on next, but I didnt watch it. Seen it before and THAT one makes THIS one ok like Masterpiece Theater!)
