If anyone wants to catch a real karate kid, check out the movie Tiger Heart starring T J Roberts. This kid is built exactly like Macchio (scrawney, weak looking, short) and even kind of looks like him, but he really knows his karate. He is at the least a blackbelt. The movie is extremely bad, but Roberts has pretty amazing moves. He is younger than Macchio, but if he was around in the 80's he would have been a better a pick for the role of Daniel. He would have been much more convincing in the final fight scenes and looked like a real challenge for Johnny and Bobby.
