I remember when I first saw this movie. My best friends mum got it for us and sat us down to watchit at the beggining of the summer. never in my life has a film given me such a feeling of elation as this. For the rest of the summer, my friends and I practised karate, watched the film every day and basically lived it. I am 25 now and bought the movie on dvd the other day.....the opening music where Lucille and Daniel are moving to LA nearly made me cry. I got so nostalgic about a time where the summers were longer and hotter and when life was so uncomplicated. Sorry to sound like a geek (I am not by the way!) but does anyone else feel like this????

Yeah, that opening scene is touching...I imagine poor Daniel cried & cried over leaving his little city of Newark & headed to a far away huge open area out in the Southwestern desert. Heyy, did you read my story a little further down about "post KK scenes"? I have Lucille move to New York & Daniel head back to Newark after he graduates from college.
