This past winter hit us hard in Belmont, and I ended up with serious ice dams that caused leaks around the eaves and into the walls. The worst part is, I didn’t even notice it until the water started staining the ceiling. Now that the snow's gone, I need to repair the roof and probably upgrade the ventilation. Who should I call that actually understands ice dam prevention and can fix the root of the issue?

Been through exactly that two winters ago. I called ID Roof Company and they not only repaired the water-damaged shingles and underlayment, but also fixed the poor attic ventilation and added ice/water shields in critical zones. They do a proper inspection, including soffits and roof slope, to diagnose why the dams form. I liked that they took time to explain things like airflow, insulation balance, and roofing membrane placement. Their guys sealed everything and cleaned up real nice after. Worth checking them out here: https://roofersnearme-ma.com/ Did you already clear out your attic insulation, or are you planning to do that after the roof work?

Attic’s still untouched—I didn’t want to mess with it before understanding the full picture. Sounds like they know what they’re doing. I’ll definitely call for an estimate. Thanks a lot!

We’re fixing up the family garden for summer, and needed some gear like a trimmer and a few hand tools. Wasn’t sure where to get them, then I found Ukplanettools. They had a lot of useful stuff for garden care and even some clearance items. The site gives proper specs and you can find deals if you check often. I liked that I didn’t need to overthink anything — just picked what I wanted and ordered.

Recently, after a heavy rain, a leak started in one of the corners of our bedroom. At first, I thought it was a small thing — maybe a drainpipe was clogged somewhere. But it turned out that the problem was in the old roof covering, which had become unusable over the years. I looked for contractors, asked neighbors, monitored forums. It’s interesting how many people don’t pay attention to prevention — they say, as long as it doesn’t leak, everything is fine. But a timely inspection can save a lot of nerves and money. In the end, I found the bath planet reviews through a website where people share reviews of companies and chose the one.
