FALLING DOWN-1993

 -

One of my favourites of the early 90's! Revenge of the middle class, with a side of crazy!

Quick question: Does anyone else feel that the movie is hinting that Prendergast's (Duvall) awfully annoying wife, killed their little daughter, maybe due to PPD or whatever?

TOTAL RECALL-1990

 -

I had actually written this movie off, in my mind. But watched it on tv last night, and it was a lot better than I remembered. Sure, some of the effects were pretty hoakey looking (especially on an HD channel), those reddish rear projection shots of Mars weren't fooling anybody, and some of the sets looked like a bad episode of Dr. Who. But all in all, a lot of fun.

THE WAR ROOM-1993

 -

A great doc about the '92 Clinton campaign. Some of the key players are strangely absent, but nevertheless a fascinating look at the inner workings of a presidential campaign.

Donnie Brasco (1997) Ewww, Tom Cruise was originally slated to play the role of Donnie Brasco. I probably would not have wanted to see it. Johnny Depp was excellent, along with Al Pacino. I forgot about alot of the other character actors in this movie, like Paul Giamatti, Tim Blake Nelson, and that Zeljko guy.

I think that role was perfect for Depp like he was meant to play it. I couldn't see Cruise as Brasco.
