Laura and Martin have been married for four years. They seem to be the perfect, happiest and most successful couple. The reality of their house-hold, however, is very different. Martin is an abusive and brutally obsessed husband. Laura is living her life in constant fear and waits for a chance to escape. She finally stages her own death, and flees to a new town and new identity. But when Martin finds out that his wife is not dead he will stop at nothing to find and kill her.

This is my favorite Julia Roberts movie and Patrick Bergin still gives me the creeps even after all these years because of this villianious role. Great movie in my opinion, I love the ending where she is on the phone. But why do movies always give the killer one last failed chance for redemption...we all so saw that coming when Julia Roberts drops the gun.

This really is one of Julia's best movies in my opinion. I love the simple flow of the story and Julia's acting was really awesome as well. I think that she and Patrick Bergin weren't matched very well but since they only shared the screen briefly it didn't turn me off too much.

I loved the house that she lived in when she moved to the little town. It probablly was really tiny but it looked gigantic on screen. I just loved the cinematography of when she was sitting and watching the sunset on the porch. It was so warm feeling that you almost felt like you were there. HUM I know what I want to watch this weekend....Thanks Valley!

Julia Roberts and Patrick Bergin were great in this film. But don't forget the 3rd star of the film - Patrick Bergin's moustache!
