A long while back, I'll say about 15 years ago, my friend worked at a country club in our hometown. She worked a wedding (she is a chef) where the groom was one of the dudes from Uriah Heap, and he married a girl from our hometown. She said he was really tall, that's all I remember.

I don't have much by them, only Easy living on my i-pod. They have quite a few albums BTW. Heard they were described as a poor man's Deep Purple.

They've released a lot of material over the years; I've probably got about half of the studio albums. I was lucky enough to see them last week, they really are a great live band.

Have you heard anything else apart from "Easy Livin"?

Whilst I wouldn't put them on the same level as Deep Purple; they are far from being a second rate version of them.

The Wizard

Actually I heard the Wizard. It's to bad our lame classic rock station only plays Easy Livin. What greatest/best of would you recommend?

What's Atomic Rooster like?

Riptide,

If you have to get a Greatest/Best of then I'd recommend:20th Century Masters - although none of the compilations do Uriah Heep justice. IMO.

I'm sure you can pick up any of their first 4-5 albums pretty cheaply over there.

I only know a few Atomic Rooster songs. Devil's Answer & Tomorrow Night. Both are great songs.

Devil's Answer

Tomorrow Night

aTomik,

Have you heard the new album. It's called 'Wake the Sleeper'. It's a very solid album, with some great tunes:

Angels Walk with You

Light of a Thousand Stars

These songs sound great live.. [Smile]

Wake the Sleeper, Overload, Tears of the World and Shadow are the best tracks IMHO.
