Just bought and watched Cocaine: One Man's Seduction.
It is a quite good tv movie about a father (great Dennis Weaver) who becomes a cocaine addict.
Karen Grassle plays his wife and young James Spader his son.
Co-starring Pamela Bellwood (Dynasty´s Claudia) and David Ackroyd.
Anyone else seen this?

hahahaha. This looks funny! It looks like on of those over-acted 80s drug addiction movies. [Smile]

Let us know how it turns out...

Was this a made-for-tv movie? It sounds like one, you know the type. Back in the 80's it seemed like every week or month there was a new movie out to "scare the kids" with, like anorexia, drug addicts, runaways, etc.

I always liked Dennis Weaver but those movies were over acted. I used to have to watch these types with my parents. What didn't they do a movie on to scare the kids back then? And lots of time it was big name actors like that was gonna scare the kids more into not trying the particular sin of the week.......

Hey, it´s not that bad at all.
It´s fun to watch when Dennis takes the stuff and thinks that he´s got it all groovin´.

This was Spader´s 3rd flick and he´s already like a pro.
But he was 23 yrs in 1983 so he started acting kinda late, i think.

It is a tv movie, so of course Weaver does get his punishment and all is well in the end.

LOL... remember this movie from when I was a kid! Remember seeing it on TV, and thinking wow, drugs are horrible! I actually got kinda scared when they took him to the hospital with respiratory problems or whatever it was!

Fastforward 15 years, im in the Hells Angels social club, doing mondo lines with bikers, killers, gangsters and pornstar wannabees! Guess that movie wasn't the deterrent it was meant to be!

Funny how life turns out sometimes! Glad all that is behind me!
