I want to start by giving credit to Gordon for inspiring this topic with the help of journey.

This thread is in no way referencing that I want to replace actors or characters from the beloved movie "The Breakfast Club", but instead this is a fun exercise in exploring the possibilities of 'what if?'. What if you put some of your favorite characters from different 80's movies in the setting of high school detention. So bascially please take a moment and name your Breakfast Club!

Ok here's where journey comes into this equation....here's the list of movies to choose from that he so awesomely posted recently:

Now the real fun of all this, imagine all of the conversations these characters would have with each other. Well, David might be dust since it's Saturday morning detention....but you get the idea. Right?

I think Judd Nelson and Anthony Michael Hall were the perfect choices. I wouldn't replace either of them. But Tom Cruise as Andrew would have definitely topped Emilo. Molly Ringwald isn't the best choice for a snobbish school princess since she plays the every-girl role much better. So maybe Demi Moore would have been the better choice there. Ally Sheedy was fine as Allison, but if I was casting for that role she probably wouldn't have come to mind as a good candidate so I would have gone with someone like Winona Ryder, or if she was too young in '85, maybe Gina Gershon.

That is funny because I thought of Winona Ryder as Allison too but I knew that she was too young.

This is a pretty cool concept. I'm not completely sure on who to pick, but I'll give it a shot.

Nerd -Duckie (Pretty In Pink)
Athlete -Jake Ryan (Sixteen Candles)
Criminal -Teddy Duchamp (Stand By Me)
Basketcase -Cameron (Ferris Bueller)

Not sure about Princess. I wanted to somehow fit Marty McFly in there, but didn't see where he'd fit! lol
