This is one of my favorites.

Anyone else a fan of this show? I guess TV was caught up in some Indiana Jones worship in 1982.

My favorite was and always will be: Miami Vice
That was such a cool intro.

I've never heard of Tales of the Gold Monkey before. Isn't that reverend Camden flying that plane?

Loved the FALL GUY song...

One problem that I have with TV shows nowadays...is that there are hardly any intros anymore. They go straight into the action. Not that there's a problem with THAT, but the traditional opening sequence is pretty much a thing of the past.

I love so many intros but my favourite outro is the Incredible Hulk. That tune rules

I love this show, the intro and the music.

The reason they do that is because there are more commercials these days. For a 1-hour program, they have about 16 minutes for commercials. They don't want to "waste" air time with a long intro.

Sledge Hammer; you just have to love how ludicrously they move the camera around the gun like it's a beautiful woman we're supposed to admire, then Sledge blasting the hole in the screen (which I'm told did panic several ABC affiliates the first time it aired).

Close second: "Believe it or not, I'm walking on air, I never thought I could feel so free..." You know the rest.

Nothing in the '80s tops the Miami Vice intro. It might actually be the greatest TV intro of all-time. Right there with Hawaii Five-0 which it obviously took its cue from. I also like the Gary Shandling Show intro for pure self-referential hilarity and Tales from the Darkside for sheer creepiness.
