Devolution here,

I have to admit, it's kind of bad. The story is a bit more geared towards the 12 year old, unlike the first one, but Grace Jones is odd, Wilt Chamberlain is dry, and Arnold is Arnold. It's pretty hard to replace James Earl Jones, I guess

Have to agree DEVO, for the most part....but I still like the movie. I think Olivia D'Abo is beautiful, so helps to get through the movie.

As have I, but nothing seems to be coming of it in the short term. Perhaps once Arnold's term ends, they'll pick up steam.

Loved the first one, not so keen on part II. 'Conan: The Barbarian' special edition DVD is pretty good, there's an interview with Oliver Stone who says they were planning to make it a franchise, like Bond (i.e. a Conan movie every two or three years) but 'Destroyer' put paid to that. As for the remake, they've got a poster out and Rob Zombie was attached to direct, not sure who'll get to play the musclebound Cimmerian, though some say Gerad Butler. Incidently, the Robert Rodreguiz produced 'Red Sonja' remake is rolling ahead at speed.

The Barbarian is of course a classic, but i watched
the Destroyer about 12 times when i was a kid.

So there´s great memories and i still think that it´s a good movie.
Olivia D´Abo is super hot!

And of course one can't forget the rumors that the Masters of the Universe toy line was initially meant to be Conan-related, but then altered into the form we know once they learned it was an R picture, which Mattel denies to this day (and the evidence I've seen does tend to support them more).

It'll be interesting to see what Rodriguez does with Red Sonja. It couldn't be worse than the original......
