As we all know, the characters of Audry and Rusty were played by different actors in all of the Vacation movies. But who is everone's favorite?

National Lampoon's Vacation
Audry: Dana Barron
Rusty: Anthony Michael Hall

National Lampoon's European Vacation
Audry: Dana Hill
Rusty: Jason Lively

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Audry: Juliette Lewis
Rusty: Johnny Galecki

(And for the sake of completion [Wink] ) National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation
Audry: Marisol Nichols
Rusty: Ethan Embry

Even though she doesn't get alot of screen time or lines (and because I find the others extremely annoying), I'd have to say my favorite Audry is Dana Barron.
My favorite Rusty is easy: Jason Lively! "Oink Oink my good man!" [Big Grin]

Yer turn!

Definitely the best Rusty for me is Anthony Michael Hall. Audrey's a bit tougher. Probably Dana Barron, just because she is the original. However, Marisol Nichols was the best looking for me.

It is always a safe bet to stick with the originals in most cases. I'm a fan of Jason Lively, but he can't beat out Farmer Ted in my opinion. And Dana Barron wins in a close one with Juliet Lewis for Audrey.

Devolution here,

You can't beat the original. The second movie is close, but in all honesty, the first movie is what molded them.

I will say Jason Lively does a great job. I think his acting a little older and actually going after his dad makes hime great.

As I see it Anthony Michael Hall was the best Rusty and Juliette Lewis the best Audrey (although I think it does work better with Rusty older). Although except for the Vegas players (who may well have been tricked into it much like Chevy now claims he was, which would explain why he only gives about 30% that time around), they ech bring something a little unique to the roles and make each performance likeable in their own way.

The EUROPEAN one was my favorite and the kids in it were my favorite.

And yes, "oink oink, my good man" DOES pop into my head randomly from time to time! Hahaha! (I really need to get this movie on DVD...They have a DVD set with Parts 1 AND 2...maybe I'll get that).

National Lampoon's Vacation
Rusty: Anthony Michael Hall

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Audry: Juliette Lewis

This is by far the funniest though:

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Audry: Juliette Lewis
Rusty: Johnny Galecki

Margo: And why is the carpet all wet, Todd?
Todd: I don't know, Margo!

Ellen: What are you looking at?
Clark: Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an @sshole in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...
[Eddie, in the driveway, is draining the RV's toilet]
Eddie: Sh1tter was full.
Clark: Ah, yeah. You checked our sh1tters, honey?
Ellen: Clark, please. He doesn't know any better.
Clark: He oughta know it's illegal. That's a storm sewer. If it fills with gas, I pity the person who lights a match within ten yards of it

Eddie rules!

I love the scene when they are in the supermarket and Clark tells him that he bought him and his family stuff for Christmas, and Eddie says; You make sure you get yourself something nice from us...

Funny....

And the scene with the dog where he tells Clarke; if he gets a hold of your leg (humping) just let him finish... [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

You know, that's exactly what I think sometimes, that to this day Aunt Edna's still on that porch in Phoenix, either undiscovered or the current tennants don't care about moving her.
