Hi all,

I come here often but RARELY post as you can see by my post count. So much good information, I have never really had to post.....until now.

So picture it: I am sitting down to watch a movie I have seen a few times and THOUGHT I remembered well. That move is:

Secret Admirer

For those unfamiliar with it, there is a link on the bar to the left about it. Anywho, back to my issue.

As the movie is winding down and comes to the end, the credits start to roll. In my mind, I know what song is suppose to be playing when the credits roll......but it is not playing. In my mind, the song at the end of the movie is supposed to be "Doctor, Doctor" by The Thompson Twins. As many of you I am SURE are aware, this is not the song that plays.

My question is this:

What movie am I thinking of that has the song "Doctor, Doctor" play at the end of the movie??? I could have bet the farm that it was the song that played at the end of Secret Admirer. Any help will be appreciated as this is going to drive me nuts until I find out.

I've consulted my secret 1980s computer database and cross-referenced the results against the polyrhythmic digital readout of my re-imaging transfasion luminator device.

The outcome is that the the song "Doctor Doctor" by the Thompson Twins was used in the soundtrack to 'The Explorers'.

Only movie I can think of that ends with the Thompson Twins over the end credits is Sixteen Candles, and it sure isn't Doctor Doctor...

Gigawatt, maybe you misread the polyrhythmic digital readout due to a particle buildup affecting the phase modulation of some of the lenticular diodes.

Everyone please contribute to the Official Gigawatt Needs a Swiffer Fund!!

Good call - particle buildup is a common problem with the series 5. I tried realigning the lenticular diodes (taking care not to intensify the magnetic fasion pulsar in the process which would have been embarrassing!) and then de-energised the static phase modulation. Nothing.

Then I tried turning it off and on again. That did the trick.

Hi,

Is there another 80's site I may try to find the answer at?

Ha ha! Why ? What's wrong with this one!

In all seriousness, I can find no reference to this song being used in any movie, at the end, at the beginning or in the middle - 1980s or otherwise. Of course, that doesn't mean that it wasn't, but are you absolutely 100% certain that your memory is reliable?

I'm sure there are other 80s sites out there but if the cyclopedic minds on this forum can't help then I don't fancy your chances.

Perhaps it was a song that sounded like Doctor, Doctor?

Well if the song sounded SIMILAR to "Doctor, Doctor", I could understand that but it sounds nothing like it at all. It is pretty weird to be honest ;-(

"Secret Admirer" ends with a Jan Hammer instrumental. But the song directly before it is "Timothy B. Schmit - Leaving It Up To You". I have the soundtrack in play order.

Yes, I am well aware of what songs ARE in the movie. I am asking what movie it is that has "Doctor, Doctor" play at the end credits.

For all my searching, I cannot seem to find the song "Doctor, Doctor" on ANY 80's soundtrack.
