No, it pretty much sucks [Smile]

GhostBusters was a comedy gem, like Stripes.

GhostBusters II was a "made for children" quick cash-in on the name where the toys and cartoon series and soundtrack (bobby brown?) were more important than a script. An entire movie based on Slime! Kids love slime! Lets sell them some slime!

There's talk now about a third one that may be done in CGI, reportedly the only way Bill Murray would consider doing Venkman again.

Speaking of which, the popular legend is that Murray had Lorenzo Music fired as Venkman's voice on the animated series. The story goes that he came in to a recording session, heard some of Music's delivery, and remarked that they sounded nothing alike. Whether it's true or not is still unclear, but Dave Coulier voiced Venkman from the third season on, a move that still remains heavily unpopular among fans who felt Music's take on the character was the definitive one, yours truly included.
