It might be They Live from 1988 - not see it, but the IMDB synopsis is:

"John Nada is a man without job who walks around a big American city trying to find something to do. He finally finds a job as a worker and a place to spend the nights, but one day something terrible happens to him. John discovers a pair of sun-glasses through which he can see the true face of people. Many persons in this city are in fact aliens (from the Andromeda) and most of them are important members of our society. They keep humans in ignorance and they rule our world as they like. Nada must find the rest of the men that know what's happening (those who made the strange sun-glasses) and join them in the fight against the aliens..."

Meg plays a character called Holly Thompson.

Nothing else for her sounds anywhere close to a fit....

Devolution here,

I believe the movie you are looking for is the remake of Invaders from Mars. I believe somewhere around 1986.

wait D, the first thing that came to my mind was INVADERS FROM MARS (the 80s version) but the teacher was not played by meg foster... if i recall correctly, the teacher was played by the same lady that played the grandma in flowers in attic...don't know her real name without looking it up.
so, could this be it?

In the movie "They Live", she plays a news person for a TV station that is sending the signal.

(damn she was sexy in that film, whew!)

The 1986 "Invaders from Mars" sounds like it for sure. The teacher was, of course, Louise Fletcher. They end up in tunnels where the "mothership", or whatever, has buried itself in the ground. The affected people have a mark on their necks...

See this page

Any help?
