Hi guys [Smile] ,
I am looking for the title of a movie about an elimination dance contest of some sort.
Somewhere the female main character gets injured while being attacked in her apartment.. probably by rivaling dancers.
But, (so predictable) she manages to still participate AND win the dance contest.
That’s all I know about it.
Also, the movie has to be from before 1989, so it’s not ‘Elimination Dance’ (1998)

Does anyone know?

That’s what I thought at first too, but no, it’s not Rooftops.

I asked my friend and she said the dance scenes should be somewhat like in Flashdance or Fame.
Maybe ‘A Chorus Line’? I never saw it myself, so I’m not familiar with the storyline.
Unfortunately it's page on here doesn’t reveal much of a plot either.

Hey TKO! I wish I knew the answer, but I can't remember the movie you are describing. I've seen "Fast Forward" and I must say the dancing is fly. "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" has a great dance competition, but no injury to the girl, so I'll keep thinking.

Thanks everyone.. but..
Nope, it isn’t ‘Fast Forward’ or any of the dance/musical-movies listed in the smartmenu either. I wish it was.. cause now I slowly start to think that this movie only exists in my imagination. [Confused]
I did some research on the internet myself before asking here, but nothing came up. So ya nowheregirl (besides the fact that I missed you like crazy [Big Grin] ) you guys were my last hope in finding the title.

I'll keep looking.
