Nobody's Perfect (1989)

I nearly forgot that this movie even existed until I just happened to stumble upon it again. It's a cute little trans-gender comedy that I used to love watching back in the day when it played on the cable channels. While it's not the best in this particular genre of comedy, it's still a decent flick.

Chad Lowe does a pretty good job in the lead role as the lovestruck college boy willing to do anything to get closer to the girl of his dreams. And I don't usually go for blondes, but I must say Gail O'Grady is quite fetching in this film as the object of affection too. The soundtrack's not half bad either.

So I say give it a watch sometime..it's a pretty good little forgotten gem.

As a little kid, I idolised the original Stiles and then this other dork tries to take his spot. I was like, I don't think so buddy. You just don't have the cool factor at all and you don't have this T-Shirt:

I am pretty sure he was 28 in this movie. Hah, that's nearly the same age as me and he's still in high school. Perhaps he got bad grades.

Key Exchange (1985)

This was a surprisingly good romantic comedy.
Starring Ben Masters, Brooke Adams, Daniel Stern and Tony Roberts.
Co-starring Danny Aiello and beautiful ladies Kerry Armstrong, Terri Garber and Sandra Beall.

Ben Masters was great and i liked the soundtrack very much.
Relationships, cycling, great NYC scenery, Winnie the Pooh t-shirt
and i´m sure that i saw a Finlandia vodka bottle in Danny Aiello´s car.

In truth, Stuart Fratkin was 24.

I watched Broadcast News (1987) for my Media Ethics class this past week in class. Not a huge fan of so-called human dramas, but I liked this one a lot for the performances of Holly Hunter, William Hurt, and Albert Brooks, the scathing commentary on the decline of television news, and the comedic bits of dialogue.

Switching gears, I also checked out the documentary Charles Manson Superstar (1989). This movie is notable for being perhaps the only pro-Manson documentary. It mostly consists of the director, Nikolas Schreck, interviewing Charlie at San Quentin Prison with the rest of the movie being comprised of Schreck narrating over then-and-now montages of the Spahn Ranch and other Manson hang-outs and other stuff. The interview does provide a look into how Manson ticks. If I had a buck for every time Manson asks Schreck "You dig what I'm sayin'?" I'd be able to fix the debt crisis. Manson can't stay on topic for too long, often switching to an entirely different subject in mid-sentence. The strangest parts are when Manson starts doing karate kicks, playing air piano while making bizarre screeches, and other equally odd gestures. The whole thing is up on YouTube for those interested. Here's the link:

The Violent Breed (1984)

Italian action movie directed by Fernando Di Leo.
Starring Harrison Muller Jr., Henry Silva, Woody Strode and Carole André.

Crazy plot, lots of explosions and machine gun action.
I like these Italian movies because you never quite know what is going to happen next
and how the movie is going to end. Huge last minute "twist" in this one [Smile]

I was referring to Jerry Levine from the first Teen Wolf.

Bernie_Lomax, your feelings of certainty are accurate.

Jerry Levine was most certainly 28 in Teen Wolf.

It's funny. He was 28 and in High School and then a couple of years later he is in college and looks completely different and has decreased in age. Now that's a metamorphosis.

One Crazy Summer (1986)

An aspiring teenage cartoonist and his friends come to the aid of a singer trying to save her family property from developers. -- IMDb

Apart from a few funny moments, this was a bit of a chore to sit through.
