W.B., Blue and the Bean aka Bail Out (1989).

"A trio of hapless bounty hunters are recruited by a shady bail bondsman
to try to keep a witness in drug trial alive to testify." (IMDb)

This was a stupid and fun b-action comedy
written and directed by stunt coordinator Max Kleven ( Ruckus ).
The film stars David Hasselhoff (also co-producer), Linda Blair, Tony Brubaker, Thomas Rosales Jr. and Gregory Scott Cummins.
you can also see cool guys like John Vernon, George 'Buck' Flower and Danny Trejo in small roles.

Funny characters, Hasselhoff´s tennis moves, some nudity (Debra Lamb!)
and cool Chuck Cirino ( Chopping Mall ) synth score.

I love Taylor Hackford films, and I had never seen this one. I always wanted to see it as I like Russian cold war themed films. Got if for 55 cents on VHS yesterday. I was disappointed. I never connected with Hines acting. The film had a good plane crash which was well done. 6/10, because the music is good and it's an 80s film.

Watched Annihilator aka Executor (1986) last night.

"Humanoid killer robots stalk a newspaperman, who has knowledge of their existence.
One of the robots is made to look like his girl friend" (IMDb)

This was a good pilot for a tv-series that sadly never got picked up by a network.
Annihilator was directed by Michael Chapman (All the Right Moves, The Clan of the Cave Bear)
and stars Mark Lindsay Chapman, Catherine Mary Stewart, Susan Blakely, Lisa Blount, Earl Boen,
Geoffrey Lewis and Nicole Eggert.

Nice cast, interesting story, good action, cool score composed by Sylvester Levay
and Nik Kershaw/David Bowie tunes on the soundtrack.
I would´ve loved to see more of this!

Wow! 55 cents, that's like there more or less trying to give it a way.

I would say that's 55 cents well spent as I thought white nights was a really good movie.
You right about the soundtrack spreadking it was very good and i think it fits the movie very well.

Serial (1980)

"It's the end of the 70s. Hippies are assimilating, women are raising their consciousness,
and men are becoming confused and ineffectual.
Don't expect to be able to keep track of all the names or who's sleeping with who;
the picture very skillfully conveys the hopeless muddle through which the many characters move
as they try to Find Themselves." (IMDb)

This was a fun sex comedy directed by Bill Persky.
The movie stars Martin Mull, Tuesday Weld, Jennifer McAllister, Peter Bonerz, Sally Kellerman,
Bill Macy, Anthony Battaglia, Muffy´s new favorite Pamela Bellwood (i like her in Dynasty too), Nita Talbot
Christopher Lee and very hot Stacey Nelkin ( Halloween III ).

A great couple: Martin Mull & Stacey Nelkin
 -

Great cast, lots of good lines, Christoper Lee as a part time gay motorcycle gang leader and cool theme tune.
A nice surprise!

Rain Man was on last night.

Seen it a squillion times but there was nothing else on and it was right at the start when I flicked the channel so hey.

Dustin Hoffman is so good in that and as much as I don't like to admit so was Tom Cruise. I usually don't like him very much but I really like him in this.

Dragnet...that was sweet, havent seen it in ages.
Bernie...I always laugh at how Raymond always got under Charlies skin. Budget on Rainman was 25 million and made 350 million at the box office.

Just watched The BARBARIANS starring EVA LaRUE, The Barbarian Brothers(peter and David Paul), Richard Lynch and Michael Berryman.

That's some serious profit! It always strikes me how it's even possible to spend $25 million on a movie that has no special effects etc, and I have always thought that the amount of people needed to make a movie is uneccessary too. I am sure it isn't but it just seems that way.

I love this bit from Rainman

I love The Barbarians! I need to check it out again soon.

Eva La Rue is so annoying but oh so lovely at the same time [Smile]

3 Men and a Baby (1987)

"Three bachelors find themselves forced to take care of a baby left by one of the guys' girlfriends." (IMDb)

This was a good sunday afternoon film, directed by Leonard Nimoy.
Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson did a good job, especially Selleck shines.
Excellent John Parr and Peter Cetera tunes on the soundtrack!

The Burbs (1989)

 -

Only gotten better since I first saw this at the cinemas at the ripe old age of 8.

There are 2 things I have learnt from this movie:

1. If Ricky Butler says that your neighbours are nocturnal feeders, take it seriously.

and

2. Do not mess with suburbanites.

Not a classic by any means. It's one of those movies that you like or you don't but there is just some sort of fascination that pulls you back. I find it's a movie I will watch perhaps once every year.
