Hey what is your overall favorite soundtrack from the 80's. By this I mean one that you actually listen to all of the songs.

I have a few: Top Gun and Footloose, oh and of course Dirty Dancing.

Valley Girl is good too. Anyone have one that they like that is a hard to find?

Good choices! I can listen to REal Genius and Karate Kid all day, along with Pretty and Pink. I know there are some more that I love but my mind is blank right now.

This is an odd choice since I am pretty sure none of these songs made it on the radio but I love the Labrinth sound track. Can't go wrong with David Bowie!!! dance magic dance magic..... Then of course Karate Kid 1 and 2 are wonderful. The "Glory of Love" will be playing at my wedding!!! [Big Grin]

Vision Quest soundtrack is awesome, and "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider off that soundtrack might be the best cruising main street song of all time.

Devolution here,

Lunatic Fringe rocks!!!
I have a copy of the real genius soundtrack too, never released but it was on a website at one time. My favorite, Sixteen Candles, even though you can't get all the songs on a CD, unless you have been searching like me.

It will be mine, oh yes, it will be.

The Real Genius soundtrack has never been available but I believe there is a link in the Real Genius page to your left. I have it and it is cool. Unique songs. I have a bunch of soundtracks. That one and Some Kind of Wonderful are my 2 faves.... [Big Grin] [Eek!] [Big Grin]

Yeah I got my copy of the Real Genius soundtrack from a website that no longer exists. I downloaded it right from the site. I'm sure there are still ways of getting a copy.

Over The Edge (1979)

Technically it's from 1979, but i think the film
(and its soundtrack) set some standards for
'rebellious teen'-movies in the decade that
followed.

Soundtrack includes Cheap Trick, The Cars and The Ramones.
