I have read good things about this film. How good is this film? How does it compare to fast times? I know The last american virgin is a bit pricey even on vhs. Does anyone know if mgm is going to release this on dvd anytime soon. Just wondering if this film is really as good as some people say it is or is it just another porkys? Need everyones help on this one. For some reason i didnt see this film back in 1982.

Well finally I saw this film. On a lark i tried my local blockbuster and to my amazement it was there for rent. It was enjoyable but it seemed to me like two films almost. I wish the film would of been more like the second part the whole way through. But i still enjoyed the movie. Really good music used for the film amazing there were able to secure the rights for all of these songs. Maybe that is part of the problem with releasing it on dvd. Glad i finally saw it. Very eighties indeed.

If I tried my local Blockbuster for that title they'd probably give me a funny look and mutter something about not stocking pornos [Big Grin]

Yea i was so surprised it was there sitting there on the shelf. Plus when i went to rent it the guy on the back of the counter knew and saw the movie. I was like huh is this the 1980S again or did step into a time warp.

I always liked that movie. "Fast Times" is funnier where "Last American Virgin", in my opinion, is deeper.

I have flash backs about that movie whenever I hear songs off of it too. [Smile] It has a great soundtrack.

I would definitely recommend it.

Great movie, sad ending, with great music all around! Diane Franklin (Karen) would turn up again as Monique in "Better Off Dead."

I thought it was a disgusting and campy movie.

People tend to only want to remember the John Hughes teen films, but this movie was the darker, seamer side of 80's teen films. And there were many even more disgusting then this one.
