Devolution here,

Please say it isn't so. Did Kevin Bacon give the OK on this? There is something so wrong about the purity of the movie and the soundtrack. And I don't even love the movie, but I don't want it's 80's purity tainted.

I think Valley has brought this up before with pictures.

The Dirty Dancing remake has been making the news lately......people are outraged. I saw an article where Swayze's wife gave it her approval. My roommate back when dragged me to Havana Nights which was awful. I googled the guy they are thinking about for the lead in the new one.......he looks like a little boy......a little boy! Swayze was no little boy.......grrrr! haha

Devo .. I remember Ronnie posting about the remake in the "Footloose" thread linked below with a pic from the set. The remake releases on October 14th .. I'm sure I'll watch it at some point.. but I'm such a fan of the original I'm just not really looking foward to it.

Oh my, Ronnie I watched the trailer! haha

First off I laughed and smirked a "are you kidding?" when they were dancing at the drive in hehehehehe......

Is Ren Australian or something? [Smile]

I do love me some Dennis Quaid......I see some of the original Footloose actually recognizable in this new movie which is interesting........wonder what of the soundtrack they might use?

but yeah I still laugh at remakes ha! [Smile] I'm all about forcing our 80's on the new generations....i'm still surprised how many 20 somethings don't know movies I mention.... [Frown] So that could be a good thing?

Well....it doesn't look that bad at all except for some straight up copies of scenes from the original. The guy playing Ren has a strange accent though....LOL

Maybe I'll rent the dvd when it comes out but I won't be spending $10 to see it in the theater!

To this day I have still never seen the original footloose (1984),am I missing anything?
