Falcon Crest is an American primetime television soap opera which aired on the CBS network for nine seasons,
from December 4, 1981 to May 17, 1990. A total of 227 episodes were produced.

The series centers around the feuding factions of the wealthy Gioberti/Channing family in the Californian wine industry.
Jane Wyman starred as Angela Channing, the tyrannical matriarch of the Falcon Crest Winery,
alongside Robert Foxworth as Chase Gioberti, Angela's nephew who returns to Falcon Crest following the death of his father.
The series was set in the fictitious Tuscany Valley (modeled after the Napa Valley) north-east of San Francisco. (Wikipedia)

I remember watching some episodes back in the 80s and just bought the season 1 dvd set.
I remember Lorenzo Lamas as a cool Playboy like dude and it would be nice to see some of the co- and guest stars like Apollonia,
Mariska Hargitay, Anne Archer, Morgan Fairchild etc. who appeared later on.
Any "Dallas with grapes" fans here?

Sure, I'm a grapes fan [Smile] I have the first season on DVD as well, and I was just thinking of picking up season two. They are quite reasonably priced. Season 3 is set to be released in Scandinavia in the first quarter of 2011: http://www.falconcrest.org/english/master.php?path=dvd/status/dates

They never aired Dallas here, but they did air Dynasty and Falcon Crest. Of the two I liked Falcon Crest better. Dynasty just seemed to get weirder and weirder by the season. And when you didn't think it could possibly get any weirder, Fallon was abducted by aliens.

Because you don't own a winery? [Razz]

You sure? Ok, I don't. I do own some wine though - does that count?

You're absolutely right. After thinking on this very hard, the only difference between my life and Falcon Crest is the lack of a winery. I'm gonna set about fixing that right now.
