I've always wondered what this album cover means? Is she wiping her name or number off the wall? Anybody have an idea? Any other covers that can be interpreted?

Cool cover, classic album. The model is Lisanne Falk (Heathers etc.) who was only 14 in ´79 when Head Games was released.

I think that you´re right, she´s wiping her name (and number) off the wall. Guys can be so cruel [Cool]

I'm just taking a guess here.. but maybe they were getting sick and tired of being "played" by the record company's demands to
adjust themselves to the changing tastes and fashion of a younger audience. Keep in mind that by the time It's Hard came out,
the members of The Who were in their late thirties, and had been together for nearly twenty years..

Lou Reed, on the other hand, seemed to be perfectly at ease playing videogames in the 1980s ! [Big Grin]

An updated take on Pinball Wizard (it's now some kid spending his pocket money in the arcades on Space Invaders)...

OK, here's some...

On Run DMC's self-titled album, why are they all standing still?
 -

On Orlean's 'Waking and Dreaming', what on earth possesed them to even consider this as a good idea?

 -

And finally (for now) on 'Something for the Girls', what could he possibly have for the girls that would make up for this (and that could possibly make up for having the name **** Contino?)

Hmmm... I think Run DMC is sporting an attitude. Kind of like "We're here, what are you gonna do?". Orleans is trying to be sexual and funny at the same time. The other guy lives in a fantasy world where girls love accordion players. These are merely guesses.

The Who cover with the title makes it very creepy. Don't think it would fly nowadays and that Orleans cover! WO!
