A little bit about it:
1980s.FM is an internet radio station that broadcasts awesome hits and the songs you missed from the 80s with chat & automated requests. The stream can be heard through a media player such as Winamp, VLC, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer and iTunes.
1980s.FM survives on donations provided by generous and dedicated listeners. All proceeds go directly back into the station.
1980s.FM was founded on new wave, euro pop, and then quickly evolved into a full service 80s station. Anyone who is a product of the eighties will understand the pull of this music. There is no music that is as fun or takes itself less seriously. After having two other successful internet radio stations, it only seemed fitting that the third pay homage to the time of innocence known as the 1980s. A place where we can go back in time and remember what it was like to only worry about whether our bangs were high enough or if our shirts were ripped in enough places.
1980s.FM website officially opened 21-December-2007. This site is dedicated to anyone who ever used AquaNet, played Pac-Man or Atari, dreamed about owning a DeLorean, solved a Rubik's Cube, watched the Smurfs, wondered "Where's the beef?", watched and played with Transformers, or were like omi gawd! a Valley Girl.
