Anybody know which Karete style Daniel and Mİyagi did in Karate Kid movies?
Anybody know the kata they did in Karate Kid 3?i am sure that they are not doing Shotokan Karate.

i dont remember them saying what style of karate they were doing..i guess "myagi-do"..hehe

as i said in another post the style is okinawan goju ryu. the kata is (again not sure of the spelling) say-un chin

yea the style is still practised, i do it myself! I'm a second degree black belt. The club i belong to is the YKKF ( www.ykkf.org if you're interested).
Mr Miyagi was named after the founder of the style, i think it even mentions it on this site somewhere
