In the cafe when Cru is filing out the permission slip, it reads that it is under Kentucky law to register.

Bart Conner, who played the "enemy" BMXer Bart Taylor, is a world and Olympic champion. He is America's most decorated gymnast and has also been a TV sports commentator. In addition, he runs a gymnastics academy with wife Nadia Comeneci, also an Olympic champion.

The stunt double José Yáñez performed the first and only on-screen BMX backflip ever on Helltrack for the movie.

If you watch closely at the end of the movie you will notice, due to Cru's showmanship, Bart Taylor crossing the finish line first. This is because, as Cru did a 360*, his front tire didn't cross the line, the side of his bike was the first to cross the line, but by then Bart's tire had already gone across.

The guy who asks Cru to sign his cast is none other then Mr Rick Moliterno, now owner of the greatest BMX bike company in the world, Standard Bykes. Relevant maybe to only BMXers like myself but none the less..

Director Hal Needham is also a veteran and highly respected stunt man and stunt co-ordinator. You could also call him the 'road movie' king as he also wrote and directed many of his best friend Burt Reynolds' stunt movies including Cannonball Run I & II and Smokey & The Bandit.

Star Bill Allen now works as a writer/producer and has recently collaborated on "Sioux City" and "Dangerous Touch" with his good friend Lou Diamond Phillips -with whom he also has a rock band called "The Pipe Fitters".

Talia Shire is, of course, best known for playing Adrian, Rocky's wife.

Ray Walston played Burton Timmer in Rad. The one scene that sticks in my head has him screaming "Would you move!" at someone in his way while riding a bike while holding something in his hands (take-out food and drinks?). He also played Mr. Hand in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

Lori Loughlin was a junior lifeguard before she became a model and actress. She began her career in front of the camera as a print model at age 12. During her early teen years she was featured in many television commercials and print ads like the Sears catalog and Bradlees weekly flyers. Her first big break nearly came when she was offered the lead role as Emmeline in 'The Blue Lagoon (1980)', but she turned it down. It went instead to Brooke Shields.

Pat Romano, bicycle stuntman for much of the movie, starred/coordinated stunts in several other 80's movies, "Mannequin" (McCarthy/Cattral) for one.
Thanks to Stevereno
Jamie Clarke (Luke) was the 9th canadian to climb to the top of Mount Everest.
Thanks to Aili
Jamie Clarke attended Stratton Mountain School in Vermont for his Cross Country ski training before playing "Luke."

Bogus Trivia

There's often fake stuff floating round, y'know? -Like the 'ghost boy' that can allegedly be seen in "Three Men And A Baby".

But, nothing bogus that we know yet for "Rad".
