In one scene Tom Skeritt's character says to Nancy Allen's character "she's not Carrie". This is a reference to Brian De Palma's Carrie which featured Nancy Allen.

Tom Skerritt is probably best remembered for his role as 'Capt. Dallas', the ill-fated commander of the star-freighter Nostromo, in director Ridley Scott's sci-fi/horror classic, "Alien".

Heather O'Rourke actually did think Poltergeist III was gonna be the best movie out of the whole trilogy. She said in an interview that the first one was good, the second one was boring, but the third one, she thought, was gonna be a winner.
