Towards the end of the movie when Tony (Dean Stockwell) is in prison, he is wearing a uniform with the convict number starting with 1988, which is the same year the movie was released.

Chris Isaak has a cameo role as the guy that takes the order at the hamburger place when Dean Stockwell pulls up to the drive thru window.
I will always look at Dean Stockwell as Al Calavicci, the hologram from Quantum Leap (1989-1993) the greatest time-travel series ever made.

1970s 'adult' queen Marlene Willoughby has a cameo at the beginning of the film as a mobster's wife. Willoughby was once married to actor Sonny Landham of "48 Hours" and "Predator" fame, who incidentally, was also a 1970s p*rn actor.

A woman I worked with, Anne Marie, was in the movie as a hair stylist in the beginning when Michelle Pfeiffer is in the hair salon. She told me the producers showed up in Long Island at a hair salon she was working in and took a picture of the whole staff. Anne Marie and another male co-worker were later called and picked because they were very outrageous and "punky" looking.
