Bartel and Woronov appeared together in more than a dozen movies, most notably including such cult classics as "Heartbeeps", "Rock 'n Roll High School", and "Death Race 2000".
Robert Beltran also became a sort of 80's cult player, appearing alongside Kelli Maroney in "the Night of the Comet". Maroney would later star in "Chopping Mall" with Bartel and Woronov.
Bartel had completed the script to a sequel entitled "Bland Ambition", and reportedly had called Mary Woronov to tell her he had obtained funding for the film the day before he passed away.
The film features a credit for Wendy Bartel, who is credited for being "a sister to the director".
