The Wild Life

AKA:

The Wild Life can be considered a sequel of sorts to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". Cameron Crowe used the left over material from his book Fast Times at Ridgemont High that didn't go into the Fast Times movie for Wild Life. While most of the characters in both movies are amalgams of various real life students, Fast Time's Brad Hamilton (Judge Reinhold) and Wild Life's Bill Conrad (Eric Stoltz) are based on the same individual person.

"It's Casual"

Is the perfect one-liner for this film, as stated many times throughout the movie by it's main character Tom, played by Chris Penn of "Footloose", "All the Right Moves" and "At Close Range".

Tom's good buddy and recent high school grad, Bill (Eric Stoltz) is grown up and moving into his own singles pad. Just one problem, he doesn't have the funds to afford the place on his own!

What to do? He can't ask his girlfriend (Lea Thompson) to move in with him because this would prevent him from living the "Wild Life" so he dumps her and settles for Tom, who makes Bill feel better by telling him "It's Casual".

Meanwhile, Tom has some personal issues to hash out with his girlfriend who is on the verge of dumping him while she tries to stop the advances of her nerdy retail boss, played by Rick Moranis.

Also, look for a great cameo performance in this film by Randy Quaid as the wacked out ex- vietnam vet!

This movie will carry you through to the end with non stop laughter in every scene. The typical 80's clothes and music, as well as the bowling alley hang out and the local shopping mall exploits!

This is one 80's classic that can't be missed.

Verdict?

If you enjoyed "The Breakfast Club", "Sixteen Candles", and "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", then this is one to add to the list!
