The reason for
Bette Midler's oversized orange jumper throughout the film was because she was infact 5 months pregnant during shooting. The 'baby bump' started to become noticeable so wardrobe had to think fast. The director and crew were also concerned for Bette and her baby's health in the final stages of filming as Bette volunteered to do most of her own stunts. Apparently there were some nervous faces during the scene at the end of the movie where Bette is attacked by the character Michael and falls partially down a cliff.
Shelley and Bette allegedly hated each other and many arguments broke out between the two while on set. One of them surrounding whose name was going to be featured first on the posters, video case, etc. This resulted in having half the batch starting with Shelley's name and then the other half with Bette's!
Did you know that when Bette falls over in the road infront of the lorry, it was not written in the script but was a last minute decision made by Bette as she thought it would be good. Everyone, including Shelley Long panicked as they thought she had actually fallen over and Shelley quickly pulled her to one side of the road. This was later kept in after realising that is was just Bette.

Deleted Scenes
When movies are made, scenes are often
left on the cutting room floor.
Sometimes, there will be several versions
of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
