Tony Marts was torn down and replaced with "Ego's". Then it became "Brownies by the Bay" and then "Ice." Someone purchased it a couple of years ago and now it's closed (he bought it for the liquor license and moved the license to his marina located further down on Bay Ave., Somers Point, so the building is currently not in use). Bayshores was torn down and replaced with the "Waterfront" and is now called "Sails." All three were a bar/restaurant.
When filming the bridge scene at Port Republic bridge I was watching it with a few other people (I lived at the corner of Motts Cr. & Rt.9 at the time) sitting on my idiling H.D. on the shoulder. Apparently my scooter was making too much noise that they had to take extra takes untill the director came over and asked me to shut the bike down. It was making too much noise. I ended up having two car accidents at that very same bridge in later years that almost killed me.

The motel that Wendell is carried out of when he o.d.'s is the old Black Horse Pike motel, located on, what else.....the Black Horse Pike (rt 168) in South Jersey. It has since been closed down but the sign is still there. However, Mick wrote in to say that the wendel hotel was the Ebb Tide that was located on rt. 9 in somers point.
Lynn kindly wrote in to say that the hotel was definitely the Ebb Tide Hotel on Mac Arthur Blvd in Somers Point. I live not too far from there and am positive that this was the location.

Deleted Scenes
When movies are made, scenes are often
left on the cutting room floor.
Sometimes, there will be several versions
of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
