Go behind the scenes and learn what went on during the making of the 1984
Historical movie starring Tom Hulce,

Mark Hamill stunningly played Mozart in the Broadway version of Amadeus and was eager to reprise the role for the movie. But the producers were sadly blinkered to his talents and decided against casting Luke Skywalker as the famed composer.
We believe that
Meg Tilly ("
The Big Chill") was originally cast as Mozart's wife Constanze. However, while on location, playing soccer with the crew, she pulled a ligament. Understudy Elizabeth Berridge then got the part.
The entire film was shot with natural light in order to get the proper diffusion of light for some scenes, the DP's covered windows from the outside with tracing paper.
Costumes for the operatic productions were based on sketches of the original costumes and sets used when the operas premiered.

Deleted Scenes
When movies are made, scenes are often
left on the cutting room floor.
Sometimes, there will be several versions
of a movie floating about on cable, tv or video etc. Other times, a Director may
release a special cut of the movie.
