Filming locations included Albuquerque, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Los Angeles, Paramount Ranch, Agoura, (Western town set), Roseville and Sacramento, CA, USA
The school where the shootings take place at the end was filmed at American River College,4700 College Oak Drive, Sacramento, CA the classrooms and football field were used. [Thanks to Hale Irwin]
The car chase scene was filmed in downtown Sacramento, where the car crashes underneath the overpass was under the downtown Galleria mall on 5th st between L and J st. [Thanks to Hale Irwin]
Newcastle, CA - Emilia and Demi were hiding out in a small green shack near the short tunnel that goes under the train tracks at 9385 Old State Highway. The little green shack was actually a building used to record weights for the fruit trucks when the building across the street was a fruit packing shed. Sadly, when the water company (PCWA) or the sewer company (SPMUD) was doing some work next to the scale, they tore the building down without consulting the owner and never replaced it.
