Pee Wee's House is only ½ mile (1Km) from 1115 Oxley St which was the location of the Strode Home in the 1978 movie Halloween. It's also only ½ mile (1Km) from 815 Fremont Ave which was the Big Jeff's restaurant (which is actually a Carrow's) where Sarah Connor worked as a waitress in the 1984 movie, the Terminator, which was released ten months earlier. The opening scene was on Mulholland Highway and Las Virgenes Rd. It's listed as Hullholland Highway and Malibu Canyon. Malibu Canyon and Las Virgenes are really the same street which changes name, but not until quite a ways south of Mullholland Highway. I wasn't able to pinpoint the exact spot. Hopefully, it's east of Las Virgenes because google maps street view doesn't go any further west. [Thanks to "Mountain Mike" Johansen]

The Warner bros. studio backlot in burbank, Calif. was used for the studio chase scenes.

The bike shop where Pee Wee's bike is stolen was either at the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica, Calif. (no longer there - I think it's a wilson's leather store now -or- at the Burbank Mall. Can anyone help?

Just a few doors down is where the store "Trax" was for the film "Pretty in Pink" (also no longer there) it's a bar now and across the street from that is the front of the Santa Monica place mall which was used in the opening of "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" and the inside of that was used in "Terminator 2" where both cyborgs meet for the first time. Dinosaurs/Diner Pee-Wee visits is the 'Wheel Inn Restaurant' on the I-10 Freeway in Cabazons, near Palm Springs.[Thanks to Clint Stoker]

I believe the Old Road in Newhall calif. was the driving scene before he drove over the cliff. [Thanks to Adair Curry]
