Night of the Comet Locations
Under their watchful eye, the following special places were used for filming "Night of the Comet":
The theater Regina works at, the "El Rey", is located at 5515 Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles. It was also the nightclub that Les took Mercedes to in "License to Drive." [Thanks to Daniel Zubiate]
Near the beginning of the film when Reggie flees downtown L.A. on her boyfriend's motorcycle, she comes to a stop beside a brown Mercedes 300D. The street is Grand Avenue, and the location is about 100 yards south of the Dorothy Chandler, looking south. This shot, along with most others, was shot during the middle of a normal business day. BTW -- The Mercedes belonged to me, the writer/director. [Thanks to writer/director THOM EBERHARDT!]
Can you help? Do you know any of the Los Angeles, S. California filming locations used for Night of the Comet? Please Update Us
Locations LinksIf you know of a good link for Night of the Comet locations, please let us know.
LX is our radical new locations feature that we've been beavering away on.. For years!
Each location will have it's own page with then/now pictures, maps, StreetView, discovery story and the most detailed explanations on how the location was used. Most importantly, the locations will have a status that shows whether they are verified correct and by whom. We are working with the actual locations managers or other crew where possible. The whole thing will be very interactive and you will, of course, be able to update everything.
