Near Dark Filming Locations:
The movie was originally to be shot on location in Oklahoma, but after severe flooding, production designers called the producers just before they were about to fly out there and cancelled. Consequently it was moved to Coolidge, Florence and Casa Grande, Arizona with some additional work in Los Angeles. Despite being set in the summer, it was filmed in late autumn and temperatures were very cold.
The semi blew up on Coolidge Ave and Main Street in Coolidge az, and bales of cotton were seen on the back roads- Kenworthy Road or Vah Ki Inn. [Thanks to Jeff]
