The license plate NUMBER of the Chevy Impala that is the central "character" of the movie stays the same, - but the plate's STATE changes in almost every scene.

If you look inside the Chevy Malibu from the rear while it is sitting there after the motorcyle cop pulled it over, it is not J. Frank Parnell who is in the driver seat. It appears to be Otto driving the car (you can just see the back of his head). Other times it appears to be Kevin driving it....

In the opening sequence, the sun is shining brightly as the cop pulls over Parnell. But it is quite cloudy when the cop opens the trunk. Also, Parnell gives the cop his keys to open the trunk but drives off immediately after the cop explodes. How does he start the car?
