"A friend delivers John Twiller greetings from a long gone high school girlfriend. This makes him open his school's yearbook - his "Book of Love" -
and remember the old times, way back in 1956, when he was in his last year of high school and his family just moved to the town.
He hung out with geeky Paul Kayne and tried to get the attention of Lily, who unfortunately was together with bully Angelo." (IMDb)

Watched Book of Love last night and it was a great film. Nice story, wonderful cast and characters and lots of memorable scenes.
Chris Young did a fantastic job in the leading role and i just love Tricia Leigh Fisher. Now i need to rewatch Pretty Smart because i want to see her again very soon [Smile]

There´s lots of camraderie between the guys and i love that stuff.
What was also cool is the fact that when the prom night comes, you are on you´re own, it´s just you and the girl. I love that scene between Chris and Tricia near the end.

I highly recommend this New Line Cinema movie for fans of romantic teen comedies. It was released in the 90s but it´s very 80s.

Awesome cast: Keith Coogan, Chris Young, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Danny Nucci, Josie Bissett and John Cameron Mitchell

I've got the book of love on DVD atomik, really fun movie with like you say a bit of an 80s hangover,I love the camping scene where they carry the lad out tied to the bed by the local bullies,i think it would be impossible not to laugh at that scene.

In fact the whole movie is a real lot of fun to watch and I'd say would probably rate fairly high in a list of the best 90s teen romance flicks.

Great fun and I too would highly recommend it!

I've also got pretty smart on DVD atomik,I'm sure I remember thinking it was actually pretty good fun the last time I watched it sometime back.

Plus it's got the fab Patricia arquette as well, she makes anything more or less worth watching!

I remember seeing this years and years ago.

I remember liking it.

Will have to check it out again soon.

Chris Young is easily recognisable from The Great Outdoors and Keith Coogan from Adventures in Babysitting (A Night on the Town as I always knew it) and Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
