It's always gonna be an 80's movie for me....I know lots of you love it too.

Every time I watch it I get 'Draggin the Line' in my head over and over.........how about 'Perfect World' Alias....love it!

I just watched it today and I know so many of the lines and scenes by heart....I was 13 or 14 when they were playing it on TV on summer vacation.....and today just put me back there for a little while [Smile]

Muffy.. I totally agree that "Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead" is a 90's movie with an 80's movie feel to it.

Funny to see "Mr. X-Files" David Duchovny in such a geeky early role.

Whenever my niece and nephew visit we usually watch the double feature of "Adventures In Babysitting" and this movie. My niece loves Adventures so much I actually let her wear my Thor helmet while we watch it and my nephew is all about Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead. He loves running to everybody in the house and saying:

"The dishes are done, man!"

Awesome double feature....can't get enough Coogan Maybe when they get older you can add Hiding Out? [Smile] Valley the fact you own Thor's helmet doesn't surprise me haha

I still make references to "watch the gruyun run".

Duchovny is hilarious.....I love Josh Charles.....I love alot of later stuff Danielle Harris did. You guys probaly go IMDB movies after you watch it like me, right? So I just realized The actor that played Zach died of a drug overdose in 2000....the actress that played Cathy the office girl that does the QED reports looked so familiar and DUH she played Rose in The Last American Virgin.......

I am a geek.

Muffy.. his name was Christopher Pettiet, I was shocked when I imdb checked him a longtime ago and found out that he died of a drug overdose in 2000. I remember him best from the movie "Point Break". He was the kid in the surf shop that said:

"Surfing's the source man... swear to God."

I almost mentioned Cathy! She was great in this movie. Her glasses scared me in "The Last American Virgin" though. ha

I remember my Mom taking me and my brother to see this on the last day of school in 3rd grade and I have loved it ever since. I love telling people at work "I'm right on top of it, Rose!" even if they have no idea what i'm talking about!

And yes, it is definitely an honorary 80's movie. An old roommate of mine once said that it was actually his "favorite 80's movie." I had to break it to him that it's actually from the early 90's and he said, "same thing."

I watched this one day last week. I love it. It's always been one of my favorite movies. I always thought Keith Coogan was hot lol. I didn't know about the guy who played Zach dying of a drug overdose, either. Sad.

Alias' song "A Perfect World" is great. I finally have it, thanks to one of our wonderful Rewinders!!

aren't they making a remake of this movie also? I think Ashley Tisdale would be the mani character!

I loved this movie! Saw it as a kid at the drive inn!! [Smile]

Just watched Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.
I donīt think i saw it back then.

What a great movie!
Director Stephen Herek did some good stuff back in the day:
Critters, Bill & Tedīs Excellent Adventure...

The cast is fantastic!

Christina Applegate is very good and beautiful.
I also like Joanna Cassidy, and Keith Coogan rocks [Cool]

I love the soundtrack.
Valentine did two songs and i own their 1990 cd
which includes the great tune "Runninī on Luck Again".
Itīs in the movie but not on the soundtrack album.
