I just picked up the DVD today, and the memories come flooding back about how good Friday nights once were. I would definitely consider it among the best things the Jim Henson Company has done since the Master's death (and since Henson did come up with the original concept for the show, I do consider it a cannonical Muppet production). Earl and his family are a scream to watch (I always liked Robbie the best; I could connect with him), and now that I'm older, I get the satire as well as the slapstick. And the puppetry's still great all these years later. I love the television parodies, especially Ask Mr. Lizard ("We're going to need another Timmy!"). Definitely classic TV.

Did any of you watch it as well?

My favorite moment (and I don't remember too much, except loving the show):

"Do you think they can move the house?"
"*takes a model and moves it* Yeah, sure."

I always hated the baby. He was my least favorite character and everyone loved him. I always liked the older kids better.
