Why was the 90s Music forum removed from fast-rewind? Wasn't anyone using it much?

I say it should be reinstalled, along with adding a 90s Rewind forum. It's difficult keeping track of the anachronisms that fill these boards ( ) and perhaps expanding the 90s forums could work.

The reason that the 90s Music forum isn't here.... is that it was never here.
When the boards were expanded a while back, we decided that the one board we wanted to tidy up was the 80s board - we only had generic boards for each decade, and one for The Karate Kid. We split out the most used, the most congested board, into Movies, Music, and General, and also added the Social Club one for general chat not specific to any decade or genre.
Given that the 90s and 70s boards aren't used nearly as much as the 80s ones, it's not a good idea to break them out - because that would just dilute the posts that are there.
And in any case, given that the bulk of the cost of running this site is in maintaining the message boards (an area that brngs in no return whatsoever), we'd be more likely to reduce the service than enlarge it. It's pretty expensive running this place.....

Yes it was! I used to post on it. Maybe it was a 90s Forum period! For all things 90s.

Yes, probably it used to be named 90s Forum, much as the 80s one was. But as this site's primary focus was, and still is, the 80s, that was where our efforts went. There was certainly not a dedicated 90s music board, and I guess I'd not expect to see one on an 80s movie site.....
I'm sure if you post under the 90s board or the Social Club, you'll not get complaints about mis-posting... not from me, anyway!
