Now, that I have been listening to the oldies but goodies, I was thinking about the movie.

I was at an antique shop the other day, and they had the soundtrack for $1.00 on an LP record, I remember my mom had it, and she played it all the time.

I did buy the Xanadu soundtrack for $1.00.

I have always been a huge fan of the music of the 50's and 60's. I think it is timeless, and it makes me think about my grandparents and my parents, and what the world use to be like, and how cool the cars were, and Drive-Ins, and all that stuff that is totally gone from our world.

I haven't seen American Graffiti for awhile. I should watch it soon.

Do you guys remember Wolfman Jack?

Here's the trailer:

I love the song "Runaway" by Del Shannon:

An interesting side note: it was Terence McGovern, playing the radio DJ, who later inspired the term wookie for George Lucas's next project, offhandly remarking, when they were out driving in the country and ran over an unidentified object, that they must have hit a wookie.

Also there's a scene where they are driving around, and the camera scans to the licence plate and it has THX 138 on it, Lucas's first student film.

I like a lot of 50'-60's music myself, sometimes it's nice to go back to square one and listen to some early stuff like motown, doowop, just simplify stuff.

Excellent movie and soundtrack. I was lucky enough to see some of the original 50s doo wop groups live back in the 80s. Some of the best music ever... [Smile]
