Lying in bed last night flipping channels ,I came across Gandhi. It started at nine and wad four hours long so wasnt about to watch. Never seen it but have not heard anytging negative about it. Has anyone seen and recommend this flick.

Gandhi is just what you think it is: one of those long, slow, oh-so-traditional Hollywood epic bio pics. A historian friend of mine says that it's all basically hogwash and a propaganda piece that glosses over a lot of bad things about Gandhi. I don't know about that, but I do know that Ben Kingsley is really good and deserved the Oscar. Candice Bergen and the supporting cast are not bad either. It's good, not great, and worth a look, but no more.
