So I had never seen this movie. I can't watch Last House On The Left, so I always assumed I couldn't watch this either. Netflix has it available on instant watch, so I added itbto my que, just to see.

So far I have watched less than 10 min of it. So I want to know, just how graphic is it? Am I gonna have nightmares if I watch it? One reviewer on IMDB said she was "scarred forblife" after watching. Is it that bad?

This might be of interest to you http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077713/parentalguide , I've seen both the original and the remake and one thing of note about the original is (not seen it for a few years) i do remember the rape scenes did seem to go on for what felt like an eternity.

As you can imagine these scenes are rather unpleasant but watching a film of this nature (a film that spent many years on the video nasty list here where i live in the u.k and I believe is still to this day not available uncut)and with a title like I spit on your grave you should have a rough idea what you're getting your self in to,it's not exactly like you are about to sit down and watch something along the lines of "little house on the prairie" or "sesame street".

As for the violence, considering we're talking of a 30+ year old film here it has in my opinion lost most of its impact to shock especially considering what we get to see on our screens nowadays.

As for the comment "I was scarred for life" that to me is just someone being melodramatic,o.k the rape scenes are unpleasant but you're just as likely to be scarred for life from the dodgy acting on view and the soundtrack as to anything else.
