Halloween II another one of my favorites to watch this time of year and since AMC Fear Fest [Roll Eyes] refuses to show Halloween II or III i figured i would mention it here.

All though Directed by Rick Rosenthal it is Written, Produced and its Musical Score was done by John Carpenter. Thats why the movie really has a Carpenter feel to it.. At one point in time i thought Carpenter did direct it.

AMC won't show it?? What's that about?

Glad I have my DVD so I'm not forced to watch any cut, edited broadcast version anyway if they did show it!!

Excellent followup to the first one. This was the first Halloween movie I saw in a theater. I was only 12 when the first one came out!

Wow! you saw Halloween II at the theaters(cool) i wish i could have seen it back then.. being that i was only 5 there was no way that was going to happen lol.

And yeah AMC is for some reason skipping Halloween II & III [Roll Eyes] (whatever) They are showing the first Halloween then skipping to part 4 & 5 then skipping to part 8.

Always loved Halloween II.

The Finnish VHS tape had this original cover art:

 -

And we also had another release which featured this pretty cool art from the Halloween II novel:

You probably didn´t see it as a kid?

I watched it first time when i was about twelve (through fingers of course [Smile] )
and it made a huge impact.

The opening credits sequence is awesome and the theme tune has more punch.
I love the way the movie continues right where the original ended.

Pretty nurses, eerie hospital atmosphere and that fantastic final fight.
Classic early 80s horror.

I did see it as a kid, I enjoyed it then, like part 4. But now I really don't think much of either.

Ok, it´s cool.

Certain movies may feel pretty bland if you see them the first time when you´re older.
Especially if they have big reputation as horror classic or are listed as underrated gems or something.

i liked 2 all right, but not as much as the first. the family relation angle was lame i thought, myers is a better character when there is more mystery about him

Yeah i agree they should have left the family relation out and left Michael Myers a mystery..But how far could they have taken the movie franchise without some sort of backstory?

I guess thats they reason they dont show Halloween II & III much on television these days they mostly likely are'nt favorites of Halloween fans. Im most certainly not a fan of Halloween 4 & 5(two worst of the franchise in my opinion)But i own them both on dvd. Thats the thing about the halloween movies..either you like it or you dont [Smile] I will say this.. I much rather watch Rick Rosenthal's Halloween II over Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 anyday of the week.
